Our youth program is a complete ministry of spiritual formation using Bible study, prayer and both serious and playful activities to underscore its core priorities...

Lesson subjects will include topics related to Awareness, Relationships, Choices, Stress, Issues, Crises, Beliefs and Discipleship.

We are gearing up for another year of youth group activities at Emmanuel. To kick of the year we would like to invite all youth and parents to Gary’s house on Sunday, August 22 at 6:00 pm for a Youth Kick-off Cook-out.

Youth Group lessons will begin September 12, 2010 and end on June 19, 2011 with an outdoor youth service.

All youth should bring their Serendipity Bibles to the August Planning Meeting. Discussion items include:

• Finalize the schedule/calendar
• Choose Lesson Topics
• Discuss Fund Raising Ideas
• Discuss Service/Volunteer Ideas 
• Discuss Social Activity Ideas
• Youth Room

Point System

The youth program utilizes a point system to reward youth for their participation in the core priorities. Points are distributed as follows:

Core Points
Attend worship service = 10 points
Attend Youth Group = 10 points
Absent from Youth Group but notify Gary or Shannon = 5 points
Forget Serendipity Bible = -5 points

Bonus Points
Participate in worship service (acolyte, choir, etc) = 5 points
Participate in church/diocese sponsered service project or fundraiser = 5 points
Bring a friend to youth group = 5 points
