About Emmanuel Episcopal Church

Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Hastings was founded in 1863. Hastings was then a village of less than 1,500. It was the third year of the Civil War. Abraham Lincoln was president. The telegraph and telephone as well as electricity were refinements for the future.

Today, Emmanuel Church continues to serve the Barry County area. We welcome you to worship with us.

We are a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan. Emmanuel Church is part of the Episcipal Church in the United States. Together, we are members of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the third largest Christian communion on earth with about 80 million active members.
